Director of Highsmith Student Union

The Director of Highsmith Student Union is responsible for the planning, development, implementation, evaluation and day-to-day oversight of student activities, involvement, and leadership programs and the Highsmith Student Union. The Director provides guidance and leadership in creating, implementing, and refining the Department's strategic plan, goals, and assessment needs to advance the mission of the University in meaningful ways. The Director is responsible for all financial resources associated with the programming and operations of the department. The Director is responsible for the supervision of two associate directors, three assistant directors, and 70+ student employees of the department. The Director provides leadership, guidance, advocacy, and programming implementation that enhance the student experience. The Director is a campus leader and expert on current student engagement practice and is an integral member of the Student Affairs team.
