Assistant Professor Undergraduate Program Complex Care/Acute Medicine Nursing

Responsibilities: Teaches across multiple areas with a focus in medical and surgical nursing of adults, health assessment, critical care nursing and pharmacology, Pathophysiology; supervises students in clinical setting at the undergraduate level; active scholarship and grantsmanship/fundraising; service at the program, department and university levels; provides curriculum instruction and program development; advises students and collaborates with colleagues, continues professional development in scholarship teaching, community service, maintains clinical expertise and knowledge of the profession. This position is for a full-time, tenure-track faculty member.
Qualifications: MSN required, Doctorate in Nursing (PhD, Ed.D, DNP) preferred. Current certification in nursing, clinical expertise teaching experience in baccalaureate and higher degree programs, total program evaluation, and NLNAC and/or CCNE accreditation experience required. Candidates must hold a current license to practice nursing in Maryland and Washington, DC. Please note: Candidates who have completed their doctoral degree and have a Master’s Degree in medical surgical nursing, certification and extensive experience will also be considered.
