WSU seeks applicants for a one-year Instructor in Theatre to teach required courses in scenic design and costume design & technology. Required: MFA in Costume and/or Scenic Design by hire date, OR five or more years of professional costume and scenic design combined; at least one year of university, conservatory or professional teaching; ability to teach beginning through advanced courses in Costume and Scenic Design; ability to teach beginning through intermediate levels in the other discipline, including Graphics/Rendering, Costume Construction. Preferred: Ability to teach specialized courses in design and technology (e.g., costume crafts, pattern drafting and draping, scene painting); membership in United Scenic Artists. This is a one-year position with possible renewal.
