Position Summary:

The UW Athletic Marketing and Promotions Office is a department of the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics and operates under the Division for the marketing and promotions of 23 varsity sports generating ticket sales in excess of $20 million.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree is required. Master's degree is preferred.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

A minimum of three (3) years of sports marketing or relevant experience at the Division I intercollegiate or professional level along with demonstrated successful marketing and promotion experience in athletics, specifically ticket sales planning and execution and game production and entertainment is required.

Ideal candidates should demonstrate:
* Experience cultivating a quality customer experience through the management of game atmosphere;
* Experience generating innovative and successful marketing and ticket sales campaigns;
* Ability to manage budgets;
* Ability to initiate and complete projects independently and with specific deadlines;
* Ability to successfully find solutions to satisfy sponsor needs and contract requirements;
* Successful experience in management and supervision of internship or student programs;
Experience with social media in professional applications, including planning and developing content and executing social media plans;
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
* Strong computer background with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe software;
* Basic graphic design and/or video editing capabilities are a plus;
* Experience with a CRM system such as Adobe Campaign or Eloqua;
* Ability to work with students, coaches, and administrators in a broad range of situations;
* Ability to work, willingness and mindset required to work long hours including evenings and weekends, and;
* Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA, WCHA and Big Ten rules and guidelines and experience working in an atmosphere of NCAA compliance.

Conditions of Appointment: This is an Academic Staff appointment. Salary will be assigned within the appropriate range, commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. An excellent benefits package is also included.
