Position Summary:

The Department of Radiology, University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine & Public Health is seeking a full time radiologist, interested in pursuing an academic career in Neuroradiology at the rank of Assistant, Associate or full Professor on the Tenure Track.

Principal Duties:

This faculty position will include clinical duties, teaching, and academic research. Breakdown of duties will be dependent on the track the faculty member is hired.

Clinical duties will include all aspects of diagnostic neuroradiology and head and neck radiology including, but not exclusive to CT, MRI, ultrasound and myelography. Call responsibilities will be defined by staffing levels and will be assigned by the section chief.

Teaching assignments include medical student, resident, fellow and other department trainees as appropriate.

The candidate filling this position will demonstrate expertise and interest in Neuroradiology and develop and lead a translational, interdisciplinary research program in collaboration with basic and clinical science research staff at UW. Academic and administrative time will be provided according to Department policies as staffing allows. This candidate will serve as member of the tenure track faculty of the Department of Radiology and participate in departmental, school, university and professional service appropriate to the faculty rank.

The successful applicant will participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the UW School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

MD or DO Degree required

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Board certified or board eligible in diagnostic radiology and certified or eligible for Neuroradiology subspecialty certificate ("CAQ"). Fellowship training in Neuroradiology required.

Appointment at the Associate or full Professor (Tenure Track) rank will require experience and credentials for appointment at rank as described in UW SMPH Tenure Track Promotion and Appointment Guidelines and must be reviewed by the Tenure Track Promotions Committee and approved by the Dean.

License or Certificate:

Wisconsin Medical License or Eligible
