The Dean is directly responsible to the Vice President for Academic Affairs of the University.  He/She is responsible for the management and administration of Francis Worldwide School of Continuing Studies collaborating with academic, enrollment, business office, and other departments to ensure a successful student experience.  Responsibilities include planning and budgeting; the hiring and supervision of faculty and staff; management of internal communications and collaboration with marketing for external communication; the design and implementation of innovative and relevant curriculum and related programs; effective curriculum delivery methods.  Working with the Deans, department Chairs, and Academic Administrative Leaders including the Director of Academic Compliance he/she ensures regulations, policies, and guidelines are followed for the development and delivery of online programs.

The Dean shall possess a doctoral degree, or at minimum, a terminal degree in the field, and have relevant experience in administration, teaching, and design of education programs.  A minimum of five years in adult education.  Knowledge of trends in higher education adult and online learning and related curriculum and enrollment management trends and efforts nationally and internationally.  Grant writing experience is a plus.
