Title: Assistant Dean of Mathematics and Science

Position Summary: To assist the Dean of Mathematics and Science with overseeing the overall planning, programming and evaluation of the academic division; to assist with supporting the Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Duties and Responsibilities: Assist the Dean with his/her duties as the chief administrative officer of the Division. Assist with divisional planning, budget development, supervision and evaluation of programs and staff. Assist with selection and evaluation of full-time faculty and staff. Assist Dean with supervision of class schedule development. Assist with curriculum development as needed. Assist with academic advising system; advise students. Assist Dean with serving as divisional liaison to the College administration. React to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned; teach as required; professional development. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: A Master's degree in a field taught within the Mathematics and Science Division or a related field. A minimum of three years teaching experience in higher education. A minimum of four years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications: An earned Doctorate. A minimum of three years of department chair or supervisory experience in higher education. Community College experience. Experience in teaching or administration of distance learning.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Work Characteristics: Proven leadership skills, and excellent human relations skills. Good communication and computer skills.

Pay Rate: 58,190.00 - 72,740.00 annual salary depending on experience
