The Faculty of Education at Leuphana University of Lüneburg invites applications for the following junior professorship with tenure track, funded by the "Joint Federal Government-Länder Tenure-Track Programme":
Developmental Psychology (W1 with tenure track leading to W2)
For this position, we are seeking a committed early stage researcher who shows promise of excellence in teaching and research as well as unique ideas to impact their field and society. Qualified women are especially invited to apply.
Within the field of developmental psychology, your main focus is on the development of children and adolescents. You take part in the national and international scientific discussion within developmental psychology and have published internationally. You do research (and teach) in one of the following areas: social-emotional development, self-regulation, intervention research, sustainability, or digital (public) health. Your academic work gives evidence of innovative contributions to teaching and research, your talent for cooperating with partners inside and outside academia, and your strong commitment to interdisciplinary dialogue. You already have (some) experience in applying for funding, and you have shown the ability to develop your own third-party funding strategy for future projects.
Formal requirements according to §30 are a university degree in (developmental) psychology; your aptitude for teaching; and your ability to engage in independent academic research as demonstrated by the outstanding quality of your dissertation.
The junior professorship will be filled in accordance with pay grade W1 and is initially limited to a period of three years. The position will be extended for an additional three years, subject to a positive academic evaluation (in accordance with the guidelines for the mid-term evaluation of junior professors of Leuphana University of Lüneburg: https://www.leuphana.de/fileadmin/user_upload/newspool/stellenausschreibungen/professuren/Richtlinie_zur_Zwischenevaluation_von_JPs_Leuphana.pdf ). After six years, a positive tenure evaluation process according to the Tenure Track Regulations (https://www.leuphana.de/fileadmin/user_upload/Aktuell/files/Gazetten/Gazette_2020_154-14-12-2020.pdf ) of Leuphana University of Lüneburg will lead to a W2 full-time professorship.
