The Gupta College of Science at Coastal Carolina University is accepting applications for a full-time Lecturer position for the Public Health program effective August 16, 2021.  The program is a CEPH accredited four-year bachelor of science degree program. This position reports to the Chair of the Department of Health Sciences.

 

The program seeks an exceptional teacher and team player. The successful candidate must have completed 18 graduate hours in the relevant discipline, hold a master’s degree or meet the established alternative qualifications. Candidates must exhibit strong potential for excellence in teaching, and show exceptional teaching experience at the undergraduate level. A Masters in Public Health (MPH), Dr.P.H. or Ph.D. in Public Health, Environmental Health, Epidemiology, Public Health Policy, or related field, is required and evidence of curriculum development and collaboration are preferred. 

 

The successful candidate must have a strong background and be qualified to teach environmental health sciences and public health foundations and should be able to teach any of the other four core public health disciplines. The successful candidate is able to incorporate and address cultural competence and diversity perspectives throughout the curriculum. 

 

Responsibilities include course and curriculum development and revisions, teaching, and also includes serving on departmental committees. The position carries a 5/5 teaching load of upper- and lower-division required courses and is a 9-month position. Relocation is required.
