The Department of Athletics at California State University, Fullerton, invites applications for an Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach position with anticipated appointment to begin August 1, 2021.

Position
The Women's Volleyball program at California State University, Fullerton is a highly competitive program which competes in the NCAA Division I Big West Conference. The Assistant Coach position assists with coaching in this program, and includes the following duties:
- Reports directly to the Head Volleyball Coach
- Assist with coaching a highly competitive women's volleyball
program which competes in the NCAA Division I Big West
Conference
- Committed to the academic goals of the University and follow
the rules and guidelines set forth by the NCAA and the Big West
Conference
- Assist with recruitment of Division I quality
student-athletes
- Assist with monitoring the academic progress of
student-athletes
- Assist with day-to-day training of blocking and outside/right
side hitter development
- Assist with general administrative duties
- Work in conjunction with the head coach regarding travel
coordination, scheduling, and practice planning
- Take an active role in marketing women's volleyball on campus
and within the community through public appearances and promotional
efforts
Required Qualifications - A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or
university and demonstrated successful coaching experience at the
collegiate and/or professional level in a diverse
setting
- A proven ability to promote inclusivity when recruiting highly
skilled student-athletics and have excellent interpersonal and
communication skills, solid administrative abilities, and a strong
commitment to the academic and athletic success of the
student-athlete
- The ability to interact successfully with a wide and culturally
diverse range of students and to work harmoniously with students
and colleagues
- Knowledge of Data-Volley and Volley-Metrics programs
- Current CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications - NCAA Division I volleyball coaching experience
- Knowledge of various scouting ad video editing software
systems
Rank & Salary
This is a faculty bargaining unit, 10-month, full time position. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
