Practical Nursing Instructional Faculty is a full-time, 9-month,
instructional faculty position available in the Practical Nursing
Program for the 2021-2022 academic year. This position includes
providing instruction in medical surgical nursing areas with OB
experience preferred. The duties of a faculty member vary, and
change based on the needs of each academic program. Position
reports to the Director of Nursing Programs. Position will
remain open until filled.
Duties & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will use a learner-centered approach to
teaching that incorporates active learning strategies and
technology to enhance student learning.
Primary duties include both on-ground and online teaching, course
development, student academic advisement, assessment of student
learning, and participation in college-wide initiatives.
Salary
Salary and rank are commensurate with
qualifications and experience, salary range for instructor level
faculty is $36,360.00 - $54,540.00.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Minimum of two years recent clinical experience and current unrestricted licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio
- Strong interpersonal and technology skills
- Ability to work in teams
- Flexibility to teach day, evening, or Saturday hours
- Community college teaching experience preferred
