Computational Research Assistant
Dr. John Rinn is encouraging applications for a full-time Computational Research Assistant to join his research team at the BioFrontiers Institute, CU Boulder.
We are looking for a new team member to facilitate our goal of bridging the computational and experimental sciences. If you have computational experience and or statistical experience we have several interesting projects to take on alongside the rest of our team. We aim to determine how long-noncoding RNA (lncRNA) functions in the nucleus to regulate the human genome. The goal of this position is to work with graduate students and post-doctoral scholars with our ever-emerging genome scale data sets. We also work across all “omics” and are a great opportunity to learn biology and synthesize “omic” data into novel discoveries in the human genome. This would require at least 3 years of experience in R and a solid foundation in statistics or physics. We have previously trained numerous data-scientistic, mathematicians, and statisticians to move forward with their career goals in biological and biotech sciences. This is an opportunity to be a team member, learn and develop new skills.
