The College of Education at the University of Florida is currently accepting applications for the position of Clinical Assistant Professor of Special Education.

Successful applicants for this non-tenure track position will demonstrate the ability to provide leadership and advise students in our online Master of Education and Education Specialist degree programs, teach in those and other programs in special education, and collaborate effectively with colleagues in the School of Special Education, School Psychology, and Early Childhood Studies and across the College of Education.

Salary for this twelve-month faculty appointment is negotiable, competitive, and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Employment for the selected candidate can begin as early as August 16, 2021.

Online programs in the College of Education are ranked #1 in the nation. The UF Special Education program is ranked #4 nationally and is accredited by Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation.

Minimum qualifications :

  • a doctorate in special education
  • experience teaching in K-12 settings
  • experience successfully delivering teacher preparation and/or teacher professional development


Desired qualifications :

  • providing coaching/supervision in teacher preparation and/or teacher professional development
  • coordinating academic/professional programs
