The Chief Nursing Administrator serves as the administrator of the School of Nursing leading the development, implementation and evaluation of the curriculum within all programs of the School of Nursing.  The position is a non-tenure position.  Primary responsibilities include assisting with enrollment in the recruitment of potential nursing students and facilitating their entry into programs by conducting conferences with prospective nursing students and their parents in conjunction with Anderson University Admissions and the Nursing Admissions Coordinator; developing processes to strengthen the vision, success, and growth of the School of Nursing; participating in advancement activities by writing proposals, hosting visits with potential donors, or any other requested activities; providing data for reports and dissemination of information to senior leadership and external accrediting organizations as requested; and developing and maintaining relationships with appropriate clinical partners and external entities.

An earned doctorate in nursing from a regionally accredited institution is required.  The degree should be appropriate for the area of teaching according to accreditation standards on Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).  Qualified candidates should have a minimum of two years prior clinical experience as a registered nurse or advanced practice nurse related to the area of responsibility.  Candidates should hold an unencumbered active license as a registered nurse in the state of South Carolina or another Compact state.  The successful candidate should demonstrate qualities of effective Christian leadership and prior experience as a nursing educator in an academic setting, with the ability to teach at the master’s level.
