About the Opportunity:
The Monaghan lab researches developmental and regenerative biology of the axolotl salamander. The lab mainly uses genetic approaches to reveal how axolotls regenerate complex tissues including limbs and tails. This position will include wet bench and computational support for ongoing experiments including in situ hybridization, molecular biology, DNA analysis, experimental design, and image analysis. Bench experience is required and experience working with aquatic animals is desired.

Responsibilities:
100% - Assist in research. The job will include we bench experiments on the regenerative ability of axolotl salamanders. It will include confocal and lightsheet imaging and computational analyses of this data.

Qualifications:
Position requires a minimum of a BS in Biology, Chemistry, or Biochemistry. Knowledge of molecular biology techniques, good organizational skills, and ability to work without extensive supervision are also required. Some computational skill is desired. Experience with a genetic model organism, is desirable but not required
