Gettysburg College is seeking a full-time Administrative Services Assistant to work for the Eisenhower Institute (EI) at its Gettysburg College location.  This position provides staff support to the Associate Provost and Dean of Public Policy Programs, the Executive Director of the Eisenhower Institute, the Public Policy program, and the Eisenhower Scholars program.   Specifically, responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: manages calendars and arranges group meetings; drafts routine and semi-routine correspondence for the Associate Provost and Dean; provides staff support to the Eisenhower Institute Experts program, including planning and arranging travel, reimbursements and events connected to EI functions; assists with managing EI and Public Policy budgets; and serves as the primary office receptionist for the Gettysburg location.  This position interacts with external audiences frequently, including high-level contacts such as Ambassadors, foreign dignitaries and high-ranking officials. In addition, this position will support complex events for national and international audiences. High school education or equivalent required with a post-high school degree preferred.  A minimum of three to five years in administrative services or comparable business education is highly preferred.  Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite required; general accounting and website maintenance experience desirable.  The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; work independently; prioritize and organize daily responsibilities and longer-term projects; accurately handle a variety of tasks simultaneously; learn new software applications; successfully meet deadlines; have professional and supportive interactions with students and faculty in a diverse environment; handle confidential information in the appropriate manner; work in a fast-paced environment; work with high volumes of electronic mail; think and react appropriately to a variety of circumstances; pay attention to detail and maintain accuracy; work independently when needed; occasionally work weekend hours and overtime.
