Immediate opening, one-year appointment, Assistant Professor of Communication and Digital Media (Communication/Film and New Media)

The Department of Communication and Digital Media (CDM) at Carthage College invites applications for a one-year appointment of Assistant Professor of Communication and Digital Media (Communication/Film and New Media). A Master’s Degree is required for this position. Preferred qualifications include Ph.D., M.F.A., or other appropriate terminal degree, and at least one year of teaching experience. The appointment begins August 2021. Fall classes run Sep. 7 through Dec. 17, 2021. Spring classes run Feb. 2 through May 18, 2022.

Teaching responsibilities include the following courses: Film Analysis (two sections) and Film and New Media Production (fall 2021), and Mass Communication, New Media Theory and Aesthetics, and Screenwriting (spring 2022).
