Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Mechanical Engineering (Ref.: 504517), to commence on August 1, 2021 or as soon as possible for up to three years.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Materials Science, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or related disciplines, with a strong research background in computational materials science, phase transformations, computational method development, mechanics of materials, DFT, and molecular dynamics. Those who are expected to obtain a Ph.D. degree by August 2021 are also welcome to apply. Applicants should have a good command of written and spoken English, be highly self-motivated and able to work independently. The appointee will work under the supervision of Professor David J. Srolovitz.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
