Assistant/ Associate Professor of Mental Health Counseling
Personnel Status: PIN/Faculty

Responsibilities: Teaches across multiple areas with a focus on mental health counseling; contributes to the program, department, university, and surrounding community; advises students; assists with field practica; collaborates with colleagues; strong commitment to understanding diversity and cultural proficiency in the field; works some evenings and weekends. This position is tenure track.
Qualifications: Candidates must hold an earned doctorate in counselor education from a CACREP accredited program OR hold a doctoral degree in a related field (i.e., Counseling Psychology). If the doctorate is not from a CACREP accredited program, candidate must have been employed as a full-time faculty member in a counselor education program at a University (preferably with CACREP accreditation) for a minimum of four full academic years before July 1, 2013. Minimum four (4) years part or full time experience in community counseling and/ or higher education required. Experience teaching courses in the specialty area and an active program of teaching and research in school and educational is highly desirable, along with a strong interest in teaching related courses; demonstrated commitment to graduate education; proven record of potential effectiveness in teaching, scholarly research, and community outreach; coordination of school counseling programs. A history of teaching courses in the specialty area and an active program of teaching and research in mental health counseling is highly desirable, along with a strong interest in teaching related courses. SALARY: $61,278-$79,400 RANGE: III
