We are currently seeking to fill our Assistant/Associate Professor, Pharmaceutical Sciences position at the Georgia campus with a highly qualified and passionate individual.

Position Description:

PCOM School of Pharmacy is seeking a qualified individual for a full-time, assistant/associate professor, tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences specializing in either pharmacokinetics, pharmacology, toxicology, pharmaceutics and/or biopharmaceutics. Faculty rank and salary will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.

The successful candidate will be expected to advance the mission and goals of the department and school, with a demonstrated ability to initiate or continue an extramurally-funded research program. Candidates are also expected to teach pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences to Doctor of Pharmacy students as part of a team-taught curriculum.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Develop and maintain a highly immersive student learning environment in the Doctor of Pharmacy program.

  • Develop and maintain an extramurally funded research program and participate in a collaborative, interdisciplinary research with other faculty in PCOM SOP

  • Contribute to the service needs of the school, participating on school and college-wide committees, and in student advising.

  • Other duties as assigned by the department chair.



Position Requirements

*Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. and pass a criminal background check.

Education:

  • A Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Pharmacokinetics/ Pharmaceutical Sciences / Pharmaceutics or a closely related discipline required.
  • A B.S. degree in pharmacy or PharmD. is preferred but not required.


Experience:

  • Two years of postdoctoral training or teaching experience
