Postdoctoral Fellow in Neuroscience

The Program in Neuroscience at Smith College invites applications for a one-year, benefits eligible position at the rank of Postdoctoral Fellow to begin December 1, 2021 and renewable for a second year pending satisfactory performance. The successful candidate will conduct independent research and supervise undergraduates in collaboration with the Mangiamele lab (http://www.science.smith.edu/mangiamele/). The Mangiamele lab focuses on neuroendocrine mechanisms of behavioral evolution in foot-flagging frogs and is funded by NSF. Teaching responsibilities for this position will regularly include one laboratory-based course per semester in our neuroscience curriculum. Candidates should have a strong background in neuroethology and/or behavioral endocrinology.  Ph.D. is expected by the time of appointment. Candidates with experience in teaching or an interest in a career at a primarily undergraduate institution (PUI) or liberal arts college are encouraged to apply. Candidates from groups underrepresented in neuroscience are especially encouraged to apply.
