Job description

Nazarbayev University is seeking highly qualified full-time faculty members to join its rapidly growing program in Computer Science in the School of Engineering and Digital Sciences.  Positions are available at ranks of Associate/Assistant Professors, and Instructors.  Applicants with research and/or teaching interests in all areas of computing, with special, but not exclusive interest in fields related to Databases, Programming Languages, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Graphics, Computer Architecture, Cyber Security, Internet of Things, Mobile Computing, Bioinformatics, and High-Performance Computing are encouraged to apply. Successful candidates at the rank of Assistant Professor and above must have a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related discipline from a reputable research university, and a demonstrated ability for research.  All candidates must have excellent English-language communication skills and a strong commitment to teaching and research.

Position responsibilities include an average teaching load of two courses per semester (three courses per semester for Instructors), ongoing engagement in relevant professional and research activities, student advising, committee service, and other activities related to the intellectual and cultural environment of the university
