This position will be a leadership position, tasked with promoting the college to prospective students and families abroad, with particular focus but not limited to China, India, Nepal, Taiwan, and Vietnam. This will include significant contributions to expanding the communications streams to international prospective students, and collaborating with the College’s Alumni Relations office to partner with Juniata College alums around the world, as well as convening the College’s Center for International Education to cultivate interest among current international students to help serve as ambassadors. The successful candidate must demonstrate their ability to work with and be sensitive to the educational needs of diverse populations and support the College’s commitment to equity and student success.

This position will include: 4-6 weeks of travel annually (pending the lifting of travel restrictions) both in the United States and internationally; conducting information sessions and interviews with prospective students, both on and off campus; contributing to the development of an international communication stream; maintaining open lines of communication and fostering ongoing conversations with prospective students and families, as well as guidance and college counselors; reading applications and serving on the Enrollment Leadership team.

Additional duties as assigned. Must be willing to travel and work extended hours, evenings, and weekends when necessary.

Position Qualifications
The position requires excellent planning, organization, interpersonal, and communication skills. Demonstrated initiative, creativity, the ability to work well independently and as part of a highly collaborative team, the capacity to manage multiple responsibilities concurrently, attention to detail, and the ability to analyze data to inform decision making are essential. Familiarity and/or proficiency in languages relevant to primary recruiting markets preferred.

Must have at least a bachelor’s degree, a valid driver’s license, a valid U.S. passport, and a strong devotion to promoting the qualities of a liberal arts education; Must be able to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills; Well-developed presentation skills are required; Goal oriented; Facility with Microsoft Office Suite, video-conferencing platforms, social media and marketing.

Ability to build relationships with students and follow them through the enrollment process.

Supervision Required/Given
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Enrollment.
