Position Summary:

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to research aimed at improving outcomes in critically ill children. The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at the American Family Children's Hospital cares for more than 1100 patients each year. Critical care faculty are engaged in a wide range of research activities into all aspects of critical illness including respiratory failure, brain injury, sepsis, and the newly emerging inflammatory syndrome seen in children with a history of COVID exposure. The Clinical Research Coordinator will work in collaboration with pediatric critical care faculty, nurses and staff to coordinate clinical research studies in the PICU.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in health sciences or related field.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

- A minimum of two years experience working in clinical research is strongly preferred. Experience in pediatrics is desirable.
- Database experience with a variety of platforms including HealthLink, Excel, REDCap, Oncore and FilePro is preferred.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, independent problem solving and analytical skills, attention to detail and organization, and an outgoing and energetic service-oriented approach required.

Prefix assignment determined by years of relevant work experience. A minimum of 7 years' experience is required for appointment at the senior level.

This position vacancy listing is announced simultaneously with the Clinical Nurse Specialist, PVL 236729. Please note that only one vacancy exists. One person will be hired to fill the position under either PICU Research Coordinator or PICU Research Nurse Coordinator.
