Program Assistant, Administrative Services
Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Benefits, the
Program Assistant provides professional support to the benefits
unit; performs basic professional functions in accordance with
established federal, state and university regulations, laws,
procedures and guidelines; and performs additional duties as
assigned. This position is responsible for assisting with
day-to-day operations in the Benefits unit and may also provide
assistance in one or more of the following HR areas: Employee
Relations, Recruiting, Time and Attendance, Compensation, Training
and Development and special projects. This position may require
travel and additional work hours during peak periods.
Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college with a
Bachelor's degree is required. A minimum of one year of
professional experience working in Human Resources, with specific
experience in Benefits or Higher Education is preferred.
Workday/HRIS experience is also preferred. Applicants must have
advanced computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word,
Excel, PowerPoint and Access. Excellent customer service skills and
oral and written communication skills are essential. Applicants who
do not possess the required education may substitute experience on
a year for year basis. Applicants who possess an Associate's degree
may substitute two (2) years of position-related experience for the
remaining two (2) years of education.
