The Senior Project Manager, is responsible for overseeing the planning and implementation of an entire project through budgeting, hiring team members, sourcing suppliers and planning the project release. Their duties include setting deadlines, coordinating the work of other managers providing feedback and communicating with clients about the status of their project. Plans, organizes and manages assigned staff, budget, fiscal operations, database, and similar administrative functions for program or project. Responds to inquiries about the program to university administrators, and provides subject matter expertise involving a program or project of the university. Establishes and administers policies and procedures for a specific program or project. Documents and maintains records and writes reports. Guide and direct project team members to ensure compliance with set standards, procedures, and guidelines. Ensure availability of financial, material and human resources required to complete a project successfully Evaluate the progress of a project to detect limitations or faults to seek solutions to a more efficient process Develop internal communication strategies useful in ensuring communication between various departments of an organization Use specialized tools and techniques to delegate and ensure even distribution of tasks to project team members. Participate in educational programs to update job knowledge and expand personal network Motivate team members to meet project goals by effectively carrying out their responsibilities Manage every aspect of a project, including its planning, communication, risk assessment, and resources. Represent the Agency in reviewing contractor requests through formal or informal processes, and provide prompt responses to keep projects on schedule. Work with stakeholders, clients, and customers and document contract requirements for adherence to RFP results. Direct vendor questions resulting from the RFPs to the appropriate point of contact. Plan Pre-Bid Conferences for vendor representatives. Coordinate the evaluation process for scoring responses to RFPs. Maintain a log of vendor questions and responses. Review and monitor project work to ensure that progress is within expected guidelines and is completed on time and within budget. Review and provide recommendations on potential Change Orders on projects and process per contractual requirements, providing detailed analysis of impacts to the Agency budget and schedule Regularly attend and / or lead detailed project meetings with contractors, consultants and outside agencies to ensure Agency goals are achieved. Monitor consultant and contractor progress and performance, review and approves invoices, and resolve payment and project disputes. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) or Invitation to Bids (ITBs) Ability to speak in public and lead small group meetings Human relations and customer service skills Written communication skills Problem analysis skills Ability to work on multiple projects at one time Ability to respond to multiple competing demands Ability to use a computer and relevant software applications Ability to coordinate the work of others Experience with and understanding of full project or product lifecycle Proficiency with project management tools and related technology Ability to demonstrate leadership, drive results, solve problems, and possess interpersonal skills from prior work situations Minimum Qualifications:
