Description: The Rowan University Department of Music’s Vocal Division is now hiring a part time studio voice teacher to instruct undergraduate students in the Theater and Dance Department’s Musical Theater Track.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will hold at least a Masters Degree in Music or Musical Theater and will have an established career as a professional singer, musical director or coach in the musical theater profession. In addition, the candidate will have experience teaching voice, a strong basis in classical vocal technique, piano skills for accompanying in the lesson and knowledge of classical and contemporary musical theater repertoire is required. Experience in teaching voice at the university level is preferred.
Duties: The successful candidate will teach half hour private lessons to students enrolled in the BA in Theater Musical Theater track and participate in end of semester juries. Group class voice instruction may also be required.
