Position Description: The Vocal Division of the Music Department is seeking a highly qualified person for the adjunct part -time position of Vocal Coach/Collaborative Pianist. The ideal candidate will be an expert sight-reader, possess a comprehensive knowledge of the standard solo vocal repertoire and perform at a high artistic level. The candidate will be proficient at accompanying solo artists and ensembles.

Responsibilities: Duties will include coaching students for junior and senior recitals, accompanying vocal juries, and providing accompaniment for student, faculty and guest recitals and performances as needed. Other duties may include accompanying private lessons, auditions, voice studio classes, choral and opera ensemble rehearsals and performances.

Qualifications: A Masters Degree in Collaborative Piano or Piano Performance is required as well as knowledge of IPA and the rules of French, Italian, German, and English diction. A strong record of experience as a collaborative pianist at the university or professional level is preferred.

Starting Date: September 2021
