Rowan University’s Psi Iota branch of Phi Alpha Theta (PAT), the national history honors society, is sponsoring a fellow-in-residence position in digital history for the 2021-2022 academic year. The position is designed for an A.B.D. candidate finishing doctoral work but is also available to recent Ph.Ds. The Fellow must be prepared to teach one survey course in fall 2021 and two courses in spring 2022: a digital history and one other upper division course in his/her area of specialty. The candidate’s primary field should be in digital history; their secondary field is open. Besides teaching a survey course, the candidate’s primary work in the fall will be to prepare and offer three workshops on digital humanities to the department faculty.

The Psi-Iota Fellow will have access to the University’s libraries and databases, secretarial support, and a combination of salary and honorarium totaling $25,000. The candidate will have the opportunity to share a chapter or other in-progress research with faculty members in the History Department’s works-in-progress seminar. Fellow will be expected to interact with the Psi Iota branch of PAT at Rowan.
