Postdoctoral Associate (76551)

The Anita Zucker Center for Excellence in Early Childhood Studies at the University of Florida is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic individual to coordinate a grant-funded randomized controlled trial of Florida Embedded Practices and Interventions with Caregivers, which is focused on young children birth to age 3 who have or are at risk for development delays, their families, and the personnel who support them. This individual will work under the supervision of project Principal Investigators and will collaborate with project staff to assist with the conduct of a randomized controlled trial that may include: coordination of recruitment and enrollment activities; maintenance of IRB protocols; coordination of data collection and data entry activities; completing data collection and data analysis; supporting the development, validation, and evaluation of professional development and intervention materials; and implementation of professional development activities. This position requires ongoing and effective communication with faculty and staff as well as other community partners of the Anita Zucker Center. The position is grant-funded and time-limited.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Coordinate project activities under the supervision of the Principal Investigators

Among these functions are:

• • Assist Principal Investigators to maintain current IRB protocols
  • Assist Principal Investigators with project recruitment and enrollment activities
  • Support the implementation of professional development and intervention activities for professionals working with young children birth to age 3 and their families
• Coordinate data collection and data entry activities under supervision of the Principal Investigators
  • Assist with data collection and data analysis activities
  • Assist with supervision of data collection staff
• Assist with project-related professional development activities, as appropriate

• A doctoral degree in early childhood education, special education, psychology or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience teaching or working with children birth through age 3
• Knowledge and practice developing and delivering professional development to professionals serving children birth through age 3 or their caregivers.
• Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated strength in organization and efficiency meeting deadlines 

• Experience collecting qualitative or quantitative data
• Experience analyzing qualitative or quantitative data
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; REDCap; and applications for developing online professional development materials or video editing.
• Ability to speak and interpret communications in Spanish
