Job Summary
Oversees one of several programs or facility for Campus Recreation by providing educational and recreational opportunities to students, faculty, and staff. Coordinates and oversees aquatics area, assists Assistant Director for Assessment and Risk Management with department assessment and risk management.
Essential Functions
- Oversee the day-to-day operations, policies, procedures, and supervision of the Campus Recreation outdoor aquatics facility.
- Assist with the planning and review of programs, strategies, events, and schedules for the Campus Recreation outdoor aquatics facility.
- Monitor the budget, ensuring policies and procedures are followed regarding revenues, expenses, and reimbursements.
- Oversee facilities, equipment, and materials for recreational services provided at the Campus Recreation outdoor aquatics facility.
- Coordinate personnel activities (for students) to include personnel action, staffing operations, pay scales and evaluations.
- Develop action plans and marketing strategies to increase active numbers at the leisure pool and attract new users of the leisure pool.
- Assist with compiling statistical data and provide and maintain reports used in the assessment and revision of goals, policies, and procedures. Assist with database, data analysis, and strategies to implement information gained from assessment process for Campus Recreation.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of short and long-range plans for a program or operational unit, consistent with the mission of the university and goals of the Division of Student Affairs. Review university Risk Management and Safety ensuring Campus Recreation’s compliance with all university risk management protocols.
- May provide administrative support for Campus Recreation which may include payroll verification, coordination of special equipment requests and record keeping.
