The starting faculty salary range is $58,157 – $66,736 for a 1.0 FTE, 168-day, academic year contract. New faculty will be hired for a 168-day contract plus 3 days to attend Fall term Instructional Strategies Institute ( ISI ) training. LBCC offers a comprehensive benefit package.

This position is subject to Article 31 of the Faculty Association Collective Bargaining Agreement. In the event of a reduction in force, this position may be afforded less protection than non-Article 31 faculty. For more detailed information, please review the

The successful candidate will be required to submit official transcripts within 30 days of their hire date.

As a condition of employment, all new employees are required to be compensated via direct deposit.

Position Title: Sleep Technology Faculty/Program Director Division/Department: Sleep Technology Location Healthcare Occupations Center, Lebanon, OR Job Summary:
Teaches Sleep Technology courses within the Sleep Technology program. May teach a range of subjects, including but not limited to Sleep Technology specific courses, Patient Care & Communication, Therapeutic Modalities, and RPSGT Exam Preparation. Required Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in a related area plus the equivalent of four years full-time work experience in Sleep Technology or a related field (two years must be in Sleep Technology), or the equivalent of seven years full-time work experience in Sleep Technology or a related field; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. RPSGT certification required. Preferred Qualifications:
Teaching/training experience is preferred. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Work is performed in an office or classroom setting with minimal exposure to safety or health hazards. May require arm, hand, and finger dexterity to operate a keyboard or other office equipment. Requires sufficient visual acuity to recognize alphanumeric characters. Requires good hearing and well-developed speaking ability to communicate with staff and students. Work is performed indoors with minimal exposure to safety and health hazards. Considerable time is spent doing work on a computer. Essential Duties:
Continuously review, plan, and development the Sleep Technology program and the general effectiveness of the program.

Teach Sleep Technology courses within the Sleep Technology program. May teach a range of subjects, including but not limited to Sleep Technology specific courses, Patient Care & Communication, Therapeutic Modalities, and RPSGT Exam Preparation.

Organizes and administers the program as well as provision of input and participation in all aspects of the program.

Promotes excellence in instruction.

Identifies and meets the learning needs of the students.

Revises and updates approved curriculum as needed and develops course schedules and syllabi.

Identifies and recommends textbooks, instructional materials, equipment, and supplies needed for instruction.

Plans, develops, and delivers lectures and activities, including skills labs. Creates assessments and develops other methods to evaluate student progress and competence in meeting program requirements.

Plans, develops and delivers laboratory instruction incorporating state-of-the-art industry practices.

Works effectively with students and staff of various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and ages and successfully interacts with supervisors, colleagues, and staff as part of an education team.

Communicates effectively in oral and written English.

Keeps accurate grade and attendance records in the Learning Management System ( LMS ).

Understands adult education learning theory.

Helps recruit part-time faculty as needed for the program.

Helps recruit students for the program.

Organizes, leads, conducts, and oversees Sleep Technology Advisory Board meetings.

Oversees clinical site relationship development, student placements, and practicum observations.

Maintains current knowledge of the professional discipline and educational methodologies through continued professional development.

Maintains up-to-date documentation, reporting, and requirements for accreditation.

Collaborates with the Dean, faculty, and staff to realize progress toward the college’s strategic goals.

Oversees the maintenance of equipment and maintains sufficient supplies for the program.
