Concord Academy, an independent college preparatory school for
grades 9 through 12 located in Concord, Massachusetts, seeks a
temporary production manager in its performing arts department,
between approximately August 23, 2021 to November 19, 2021.
Chartered in 1922, the school currently enrolls approximately 400
boarding and day students from ten countries and territories and

The performing arts department seeks an experienced production
manager with an educational/
institutional background who can fill in during a three-month leave
of absence from the opening of the school year until Thanksgiving
break. Principal duties include:
- Production management for main stage productions in theater,
dance, and music, including scheduling production meetings, serving
as a liaison between directors and designers, tracking budgets and
spending, and coordinating program and poster design
- Budget management and tracking of department purchases and
petty cash via credit card
- Overseeing hiring and payroll for overhire labor, designers,
- Selecting and mentoring student stage managers and tech
- Managing ticket reservations and sales charged to student and
- Coordinating with faculty in music, theater, and dance for
other instructional and production needs
The school also employs a full-time technical director who would
work closely with the interim production manager.
The school anticipates being open for in-person learning for
school year 2021-2022 and may need its faculty and staff to be able
to adapt to remote or Hyflex (some students in the classroom and
some remote) modes if conditions and best practices require.
