The University of Vermont is seeking applications for the position of Student/Academic Srvcs Manager.

 

Posting Summary

Provide oversight and leadership for the Residential Education Team in support of an on-campus student population of approximately 5,700 students. Understand and implement the department’s mission and vision. Specifically, as a member of the Residential Life Leadership Team, support departmental initiatives, including but not limited to Restorative Practices, Intercultural Competence and Social Justice, and delivering a meaningful residential student experience. Specific focus upon on recruitment and training of a diverse staff with the skills to support students effectively, student of concern case management, departmental committee support, and budgeting and resource management. Additionally, serve as primary liaison between the Residential Education Team and several campus partners across the institution. Instill respect and foster a sense of community that creates, promotes, and supports a socially just residential environment. Students, faculty, and staff are provided opportunities to understand, accept, and appreciate each other through various means including conversations, programming, advocacy, education, support, reflection, and relationship-building. Under the leadership of the Associate Director, the Residential Education Team strives to promote an on-campus residential experience in which students are healthy, engaged, and successful.

 

This is a required live on position.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

 

Master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs, Student Personnel, Counseling, Education, or a related field and three to five years related experience required. Demonstrated and actualized commitment to diversity, social justice, and fostering a collaborative multicultural environment required.

 

Special Conditions     

Occasional overtime/weekend hours required, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, Required to live on-campus, A probationary period may be required, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees.
