Position Announcement – Director of Graduate Recruiting and Admissions
Georgia State University, one of the world's leading academic institutions and nationally recognized for its innovation in student success, invites nominations and applications for the position of Director of Graduate Recruiting and Admissions at the Robinson College of Business.
This highly visible and significant role will lead and direct recruiting and admissions for Robinson’s flagship Flexible MBA program, 14 world-class specialized masters programs, and three innovation-based graduate certificates. This diversity of programs enables Robinson to offer one the largest and most dynamic portfolios of any business school in the United States. The demand for Robinson graduate programs is at historic levels - the primary focus of this position is to build upon our current trajectory by continuing to increase the quality and quantity of our graduate enrollments.
Located in our Buckhead Atlanta campus, the position reports directly to Robinson’s Associate Dean of Graduate Programs and leads a team of high-performing recruiting and admissions professionals who work collaboratively to drive prospects through the recruiting and admissions funnel.
Major Responsibilities:
Recruiting and Admissions Strategy and Execution: Provide strategic direction and oversight for the recruiting and admissions function for our portfolio of graduate offerings at both a regional and global level; develop and implement recruiting plans to achieve enrollment growth targets.
Team Leadership: Direct team of 8-10 recruiting and admissions staff to develop and sustain a high level of team performance; hire, train, supervise, and motivate team members and ensure resources are aligned with strategic plans and market demands.
Collaboration: Partner with the Dean, Associate Dean of Graduate Programs, Marketing, Student Experience, Career Advancement, Faculty Leads and other key stakeholders in strategically building candidate pipelines at the local/national/global levels.
Management of Resources and Processes: Monitor activities and budgets associated with the recruiting and admissions function; ensure best-in-class processes are in place to facilitate a seamless transition of candidates throughout the recruiting and admissions pipeline.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree and 5 years of graduate management education recruiting experience, or bachelor’s degree and 10 years of job-related experience
- Ability to leverage a data-driven and innovative mindset
- Ability to lead a team and mentor team members, apply excellent judgment and problem solving skills, and help team adapt to changing priorities with ease and efficiency
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal and project management skills; ability to think strategically and manage through influence; skilled at managing complex organizations
- Demonstrated ability and interest in working with a highly diverse student and employee population
- Superlative oral and written communication skills
- Previous experience in international graduate admissions is strongly preferred
