Director of Christian Formation

Description:  The Department of Christian Formation invites applicants for the position of Director of Christian Formation.  Reporting to the Chaplain, the Director will provide direction for all mission and outreach programs, student ministry group programs, as well as assisting with chapel and discipleship programs. 

The Director will be responsible for:

• recruiting student leaders, providing training and assessment, and establishing long-term partnerships for the ICO (Inner City Outreach) and Global Outreach programs. 
• Mentoring and supervising student leaders in the Student Ministry Council.
• Developing new mentoring ministries on campus, including small groups, one-on-one, and student chaplain programs.
• Assisting in the planning and implementation of chapel services
• Providing oversight, training, and assessment of student-lead campus ministry groups.

 Requirements:  Preferred candidates will possess:

• A strong personal faith in Christ.
• A passion for mentoring and discipling college students.
• Previous experience in missions or international ministry.
• Previous experience working with college students.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, ideally with an emphasis in Biblical studies or preparation for ministry. A post-secondary degree in a ministry-related field is preferred.
