Job Summary
This is a 1-year limited-term appointment. Continuation of employment is contingent upon the availability of funds.
The Research Assistant I will be in charge of maintaining routine day-to-day operations and normal functions of the Atmospheric Deposition Site, as well as being responsible of repairing any eventual problems that may arise during normal operations. In addition, the Research Assistant will support PIs, graduate and undergraduate students during the development of experiments that are performed at the Atmospheric deposition site or other locations operated by Leisner’s Lab.
Essential Functions
1. Maintenance of the ozone generators, distribution system and controllers. 2. Maintenance of the grounds on and around the station. 3. Install and control irrigation systems. 4. Perform safety trainings for undergraduate and graduate students to safely work in the ozone chambers. 5. Assist in research and sampling campaigns during the growing season. 6. Design and implementation of small-scale electrical systems
