Term Instructor in Political Science and PreLaw. The Department of History & Political Science offers a B.A. in Political Science with a concentration in Prelaw and Liberal Arts, and an M.A. graduate program with a concentration in Political & Governmental Processes. The Department invites applicants passionate about teaching, research, and service to fill a termeposition for Fall 2021 and Spring 2022. The start date is August 11, 2021.

Duties and Responsibilities

The instructor will be primarily responsible for teaching two Political Science courses, and two PreLaw courses in Fall 2021 and Spring 2022. The Faculty contractual duties include, but are not limited to developing and supervising interns and field experiences in the judicial field; developing classroom simulations such as Moot Court & Mock Trials; directing student research, field projects, professional papers, and theses; demonstrating proficiency in various modes of distance education; advising discipline majors/minors, and performing other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

A Ph.D. in Political Science or J.D. or advanced ABD statuts.

Preferred Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The successful candidate must have experience in teaching, which includes teaching law-related courses; experience in teaching legal reasoning, written and oral arguments, and formal logic.
