Job Summary: The Athletics Department at SUNY Brockport, State Universiy of New York is comprised of 23 sports and is accepting applications for the Head Coach of Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving programs. The Head Coach is responsible for the supervision of all aspects of the Swimming and Diving programs such as as meet manager for home meets; coaching; recruitment and retention of qualified student athletes; meet and practice scheduling; travel coordination; supervision of assistant coaches; monitoring the academic performance of the Swimming and Diving student-athletes; budget management; fundraising and alumni relations for the program This is a full time, 12-month position that reports to the Director of Athletics. The Aquatics Director is responsible to oversee all policies, rules, and mandates of the Fulton Natatorium.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree by time of appointment from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university.
  • NCAA coaching experience.
  • Certified Water Safety Instructor Training, Lifeguard Instructor Certification, and First Aid/CPR/AED.
  • Certified Pool Operator or obtain CPO certification.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to work in a diverse environment with a variety of constituents.
    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university.
  • Experience supervising professional coaching staff.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
