The University of Vermont is seeking applications for the position of Student Srvcs Professional.

 

Posting Summary

Provide leadership for Housing Operations in the Department of Residential Life. Oversee the customer service desk and office manager that serves as an information hub for residential students, department staff, and other University personnel. Oversee main desk operations in residence halls and other major administrative processes such as Opening, Closing, early arrivals, late stays, and damage appeals to provide exceptional customer service. Provide training, supervision, development, and evaluation of six office managers. Support special events and student needs by working with other campus departments. Communicate with students and parents about housing processes and policies and provide periodic training to department staff. Assist in advancing Division’s commitment to diversity by supporting and promoting a safe and healthy community life. Serve as a member of the Administrative Services Team and report to the Associate Director for Administrative Services.

 

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelor’s degree and one to three years related work experience to include supervision of administrative support functions and customer service required. Effective working knowledge of personal computers, Microsoft Office, and Internet tools required. Effective written and verbal communication skills required. Ability to demonstrate a commitment to diversity, social justice, and fostering a collaborative multicultural environment required.

 

Desirable Qualifications

Working knowledge of relational databases highly desirable; experience using CRM, student housing, and student information systems desirable. Knowledge of University policies and procedures desirable.

 

Special Conditions     

External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, a probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, Occasional overtime/weekend hours required.
