UF Health Regional Programs is seeking to hire a Regional Provider Liaison to join UF Health in Pensacola, Florida. This position will facilitate the UF Health and Sacred Heart Health System (SHHS) relationship by serving as the primary liaison between entities and provide operational, administrative, financial and project support over multiple specialties to leadership at UF Health and Sacred Heart Health System (SHHS).

Duties includes:

  • Provides high level support to the UF Health and SHHS leadership teams in the development and on-going management and monitoring of over multiple specialty programs operations, personnel, expense and budgets. Serves as a link between leadership and staff by interpreting and administering policies and procedures and resolving operational issues. Advises clinical staff regarding university policies and procedures. Manages and resolves problems referred by staff, facility issues, and other concerns. Works with the appropriate Division Chief, Chair, and/or Administrator to implement, evaluate, and communicate business plans and ensure they are operationalized and aligned with the programs strategic goals. Establishes and manages regular analytical reports designed to monitor clinical operations and prospectively inform decision makers in a dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Liaises between UF COM, UF Health Shands, appropriate department leadership, and SHHS to facilitate interdepartmental working relationships by obtaining a working knowledge of both SHHS and UF Health, understanding potential issues that cross-organization boundaries, and serves as a liaison between these organizations to coordinate the flow of information. Facilitates recruitment of clinical personnel for SHHS in multiple specialties and subspecialities. Creates and modifies interview schedules, escorts applicants, collects evaluations, and other items associated with recruitment. Onboards all new UF Health personnel at SHHS including credentialing, IT enrollment, fobs, clinical protocols, scheduling software, tours, and other items. Addresses all needs regarding communications between employees (email account, cell phones, phone lists, call schedules, etc.).
  • Conducts and coordinates division-wide analyses and special projects by involving appropriate parties, defining issues, gathering and analyzing data, identifying and evaluating alternative approaches, recommending a plan of action, achieving consensus, and working with stakeholders to implement action plans. Facilitates meetings and drives project issues through to resolution as a project manager. Communicates project status with involved project team members and department leadership. Develops detailed and readily available project plans. Tracks project performance; specifically analyzes successful completion of short- and long-term objectives (including setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines, and allocating resources). Circulates project results to relevant departmental or organizational faculty and/or staff. Is readily available by phone or email to give project status updates and/or to be assigned new objectives to ensure projects stay on track and on budget, adjusting if necessary to meet new requirements.
  • Assures that all personnel are paid in a timely manner for regular pay along with additional duty pay in coordination with specialty department administrative staff. Tracks leave and ensures proper reporting to appropriate department administrative staff.
  • Represents UF Health in departmental and system-wide task forces and committees at SHHS. Represents SHHS in departmental and system-wide task forces and committees at UF Health.
Expected Salary:

$70,000 - $80,000; commensurate with education and experience

Minimum Requirements:

Licensed to practice medicine in accordance with Chapter 458, Florida Statutes plus four years of appropriate experience. Completion of a residency program may substitute for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA/MHA Degree or will be enrolled in a MBA/MHA Degree program
  • 3-5 years experience in a hospital/healthcare environment.
  • Ability to develop and follow protocols and procedures properly & efficiently
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Proficient use of computer technology, spreadsheets and data management
  • Analytical problem-solving abilities with people and processes
