Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition, the Talent Acquisition Coordinator is primarily responsible for the development and implementation of recruitment strategies to attract diverse talent for staff and faculty positions.

This individual contributor position is also responsible for providing full recruiting support to supervisors with hard-to-fill staff positions to include, screening, coordinating interviews and planning job fairs and other recruitment activities. Additionally, this role will write and develop recruitment materials, work to build and maintain a working relationship with TCC hiring supervisors and external organizations and help to coordinate full recruitment effort with team members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Performance Requirements
• Develop, implement and coordinate recruitment plans for hard-to-fill staff positions
• Serve as a consultant to hiring supervisors in filling positions
• Coordinate recruitment activities with hiring supervisor and TA team partners
• Provide resources and tools for managing an effective search
• Manage and hire for frequently requested positions (i.e. part time staff)
• Coordinate and host regular recruitment and hiring events in support of hiring
• Conduct special searches using social media, recruitment websites and job boards to fill hard-to-fill positions
• Facilitate training and serves as a resource for best practices and procedures related to hiring, interviewing/screening, candidate management/selection and onboarding
• Partner with other members of the HR team to create and update job descriptions
• Collect and analyze data and perform on-going evaluations to determine the effectiveness of recruitment
• Ensure departmental compliance with human resource policies, procedures and practices
• Provide technical support to hiring supervisors
• Serve on committees or search teams

Service Excellence
• Uses all available resources to develop a solution and follows through with the issue until its conclusion in a timely manner
• Promotes an inclusive and diverse workforce that proactively attracts diverse talent via outreach and networking; identifies areas for diversity reflective of the community
• Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations
• Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College ( TCC )
• Supports the values of the College: diversity, teaching excellence, student success, innovation and creativity and service to the College
• Attends the workplace regularly and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite

Performs other related tasks as required.

SUPERVISION – Works under the general supervision of the Director of Talent Acquisition

Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures

• Bachelor’s degree
• Five (5) years of customer facing experience interacting with supervisors throughout the recruitment process
• Two (2) years of experience in applicant tracking, recruitment metrics, interview and selection, sourcing/internet mining and job board management
• One (1) year of full cycle recruitment experience including recruitment/talent acquisition consulting
• One (1) year of experience conducting competency/behavioral based interviews

• Human Resources certification (e.g. PHR, SHPR, SHRM -CP, SHRM - SCP )
