Visiting Scholar - Religious Studies - (FAC001842)

The Department of Comparative Cultural Studies at the University of Houston invites applications for a full-time, one-year appointment in Religious Studies. We are looking for a dynamic Visiting Scholar to offer four in-person courses over two semesters and to support the Program Director with modest administrative service during the 2021-22 academic year. Fall semester teaching begins the week of August 23, 2021.

Successful candidates will be able to support the delivery of an introductory survey course, and ideally, also courses in biblical studies.

Qualifications :

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Religious Studies, or a closely related discipline or interdisciplinary field, or provide evidence of progress toward completion of the degree and confirmation that the Ph.D. will have been awarded by August 15, 2021.
