Position Summary

Trinity College in Hartford CT, an NCAA Division III, liberal arts college in the New England Small College Athletic Conference ( NESCAC ), is seeking to fill a full-time assistant coach for our Women’s Lacrosse program. Trinity has been a consistent leader in the prestigious NESCAC conference. The Women’s Lacrosse program has had one of the best records in the highly competitive NESCAC conference over the past ten years. Candidate will be expected to help the program continue to grow and compete at the highest in NCAA division III lacrosse. There are also opportunities for growth through professional development and workshops such as the NCAA Coaches Academy and IWLCA Convention.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include assisting the head coach in the development of leading and organizing all facets of a Division III Women’s Lacrosse program, knowledge of and adherence to NESCAC and NCAA rules, recruiting, practice planning and execution, teaching responsibilities and mentoring student-athletes. The assistant coach will also have administrative duties within the Department. The assistant coach will be expected to help promote and facilitate the College and Athletic Department’s commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives. This position also requires both night and weekend availability throughout the academic year and summer.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required. Proven successful college Lacrosse coaching experience and/or college lacrosse experience. Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and advanced social media skills. Strong writing, public speaking and excel skills. Passion for community service and/or engaging the greater community. Candidate should be considering a career in college coaching.
