Compensation and Benefits
Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $3,897 - $5,000 per month
Full Classification Salary Range: $3,897 - $7,051 per month
- This is a full-time, probationary, exempt position.
The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that
includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the
California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and
vacation time, and 14 paid holidays a year. Eligible employees are

Reporting directly to the Vice President for University
Advancement, the Executive Assistant provides executive-level
support in order to advance the university's mission through
effective, efficient, and strategic support of the Vice President's
priorities and vision for the division.
The incumbent performs the work involved on the basis of a close
working relationship with the Vice President, Cabinet Members and
the University Advancement senior management team and is expected
to field, trouble-shoot and address problems in a sensitive and
sophisticated way and to develop and recommend the course of action
to meet the demand.
The incumbent performs a wide range of executive, strategic and
operational duties of broad scope and complexity requiring
outstanding professional ability, exceptional organizational
skills, originality, mature judgment, and a thorough knowledge of
the academic and administrative programs and organizational
structure of the campus.
This position oversees the daily office operations, event planning,
and all related activities and services provided by the Office of
the Vice President for University Advancement.
- Knowledge of academic organizational structures.
- Knowledge of higher education current issues and
- Knowledge of non-profit fundraising and/or community
development initiatives and activities.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, coordinate and direct
multiple projects and activities with varied deadlines; be a
strategic thinker and effective in moving strategic agendas; be
politically savvy with integrity and ensure the utmost
confidentiality in all matters.
- Superior written and oral communication and interpersonal
skills, including successful negotiation and persuasion skills, the
ability to facilitate open discussions, collaborate with and
respond to multiple constituencies, and write clear and effective
reports, letters, emails, and various communications.
- Thoroughly skilled in Microsoft and Google programs, including
Windows and Drive, Word and Docs, Gmail, Excel and Sheets, and
PowerPoint and Slides.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree from a four year regionally accredited
institution and/or equivalent combination of education and
professional administrative work experience.
- Two years of administrative work experience creating,
evaluating, and/or implementing policies, procedures, practices, or
- Experience working in an academic or non-profit
- Experience making effective decisions with sound analytical
ability, good judgment and strong operational focus.
