Compensation and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $4,372 - $5,000 per month

Full Classification Salary Range: $4,372 - $10,792 per month

• This is a full-time, probationary, exempt position.

The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 14 paid holidays a year. Job Summary

Under the direction of the Police Support Operations Manager, the ITC provides various levels of technical support for Public safety, including providing recommendations for improvements. The ITC is the department's liaison for coordination with other campus departments as well as outside vendors. The ITC must be able to apply effective listening, writing and oral skill and competence in communicating procedures, policies, information, ideas, and instructions as well as work independently, pay attention to detail, and exercise good judgment. This position requires evening and/or weekend work as necessary.

Key Qualifications

• Working knowledge of software packages, equipment platforms, database systems, training methods.
• Basic understanding of networks, data communication, multimedia systems, resource evaluation, needs analysis and support.
• Ability to apply consultative skills to assess user needs, provide appropriate support, and develop and deliver technical training.
• Ability to learn the use of applicable automated dispatch and law enforcement systems and equipment.
• Understanding of specialized software, hardware, and systems utilized by a law enforcement agency preferred.
• Change management experience preferred.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information systems, educational technology, or related fields, or equivalent combination of education and/or related experience equivalent to a four-year degree
• Two years of directly related technology support experience.
