Pacific College of Health and Science is hiring for the position of Nursing Clinical Placement Coordinator, to be based out of our San Diego or New York City campus. Some functions of this position may be performed at a distance using web-based technologies.

Our vision is to become the holistic nursing education program of choice for students and faculty internationally, and the Nursing Clinical Placement Coordinator is an integral part of that vision.

Job Summary: 

This position is responsible for coordinating all components of clinical and community sites utilized by PCHS’s holistic online RN-BSN, Holistic Nursing Certificate, and upcoming Masters and BSN Degree programs. The Clinical Placement Coordinator works closely with the Dean, Nursing Program Director, course faculty, administrative staff, Medicat Compliance Services, and students. The Clinical Placement Coordinator is responsible for operational details related to the planning, coordination, and evaluation of faculty supervised and precepted clinical/field experiences for all nursing students at PCHS. This may include students in the New York City and San Diego areas, and at a distance with students from around the United States.

Minimum/Required Qualifications:  

  • Previous teaching experience/work with college students and coordination is preferred.
  • Knowledge of holistic health and complementary and integrative healing practices preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to do outreach with potential clinical sites.

Education and Experience: 

  • BSN required; MSN preferred.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience as a registered nurse.
  • Previous clinical teaching and/or experience with clinical placement process preferred.
