Primary Purpose of Position:
Work with University College to provide assistance to students in admission and registration. Work with faculty members to advise students in course selection, addition and deletion. Work with outreach consultant to plan organize activities related to outreach program for students visiting BRITE facility. Work with Scholarship committee members to plan, organize and administer BRITE Scholarship program.


Minimum Education/Experience:
The candidate must have a B.S. or M.S. degree in the science, math or technology discipline and possess a strong interest in working with STEM students with excellent communication and advising skills. Experience working at a high education is a plus. Knowledge of Banner 9, Degree Works, Blackboard are preferred.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The successful candidate should possess prior achievements in student academic advising, community engagement and service, or demonstrate adequate potential to be successful in these areas. The candidate must be willing to travel, in state, working in evenings and weekends representing the department and BRITE program at local college affairs, area receptions and STEM related events. Work with guidance counselors, students, parents and alumni organizations that promote student success. Plan and coordinate student events with industrial partners, local and national Biopharma/Clinical research organizations. Ability to counsel various classifications of students, including, but not limited to traditional, non-traditional transfer, second degree, minor, certificate, distance education and international students.
