Position Summary:
The Technical Director ensures that the technical equipment is functional, maintained, and safe to ensure the best possible theater experience. The Technical Director is responsible for the overall organization of the technical production process and for construction, mounting, rigging and maintenance of all scenic elements for productions.


Minimum Education:
• Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Technical Theater, Fine Arts, or related field.


Minimum Experience:
• Five years of related road show technical experience is required, preferably including Broadway, Headline concert, major orchestra.
Required Knowledge:
• Rigging experience, oversight of entire production, student labor management, contract labor management, budget management per performance, load in and load out of production, lighting, sound board, high definition and analog production equipment.
