Denison University is seeking a Sr./Associate Director, Events and Experiences to create and coordinate engagement opportunities and offer value to members of the Denison family to broaden and deepen their relationship with the college, increases public awareness of Denison’s mission, achievements, and priorities, and helps maximize philanthropic support for institutional priorities. The Sr./Associate Director will direct, develop, coordinate, promote, maintain, and evaluate constituent engagement strategies, focusing primarily on alumni and family engagement and volunteer involvement with on-campus event experiences.

Minimum qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree. A minimum five (5) years of professional experience in a higher education setting (alumni/parent relations, development, career center, admissions, student life), volunteer management role, or transferable work experience. Demonstrated and successful experience in event planning and volunteer management. Ability to think strategically and to utilize metrics in analyzing programs and events. Positive attitude, superb organizational skills, affinity towards solving problems and finding efficient ways to achieve goals. Strong belief in the fundamental value of a residential, liberal arts education, and can show evidence of achievement in a team culture. Flexibility to travel and work an unconventional schedule, including evenings/weekends. Excellent verbal, written communications, effective interpersonal and social skills, and have strong ability to connect with a variety of diverse constituents.
